BatchProcess 2 - Independent Review

News - Products

Firstly... wow has it really been that long since our last news update?! Time flies when your busy. Anyway, just so none of you think we have fallen asleep here let's give you a quick update on what is to come soon.

[span class=notice]Starting with a quick mention of a cool independent review of BP2, have a read here: http://www.fcsuper.com/swblog/?p=1355[/span]

So, what can you expect over the next few weeks? Well, since I have just built myself another server machine for SolidWorks usage, and went a little crazy on the specs of the machine (Phenom II X6 Black with 1GB ATI HD and 6GB RAM for those who like the nerd stats :) ) and so I feel it deserves a little attention. As it stands right now I think it looks rather boring in it's current enclosure and as I have a lot of electronics lying around, I figured I would make a few new products for you guys. Expect to see them soon.

The first product to be released is going to be a temperature/humidity monitor type bay control. Why? Well because a company called Senserion sent us a hand full of their product for free a few weeks ago and we feel we need to put them to good use. They are officially the worlds smallest humidity sensor, and are very, very accurate. http://www.sensirion.com/en/01_humidity_sensors/05_humidity_sensor_sht21/00_humidity_sensor_sht21.htm

So, combining that with a nice retro white on black LED screen we are going to try and create a 5.25" bay controller that will display the temperature/humidity inside the machine (good for overclocking/monitoring, as well as just being plain cool). Now because that isn't exactly a "wow" factor for everyone, we will offer another unique feature... wait for it... you will have buttons on the panel that will allow you to flick between temperature, humidity and a custom message of your choice! That means instead of displaying the temperature you could have it display your name, a funky message, or anything you like. The message can be quoted upon purchase and we will program each and every controller specific to each customer for the message they would like. How does that sound. Once I get the prototype installed on my own system I will post a little video.

On top of that we will also be producing some custom internal lighting and possibly remote controlled switching of the server, so it can be turned on/off by a key fob. Nothing that is required but we do like our little gadgets!
